DESIGN SERVICES
FAQ
What do I need to provide to start a project?
To begin, I’ll need the following:
-
Dimensioned floor plans in PDF format (if available)
-
Clear photos of the space from multiple angles
-
Room dimensions (length, width, ceiling height)
-
Any inspiration images, notes, or links to preferred colors, finishes, appliances, or furnishings
If you're renovating and don’t have plans, I can provide a link to scan your space using an iPhone Pro or iPad Pro to gather accurate dimensions.
What types of spaces can you design?
I offer design services for a wide range of residential spaces, including:
-
Kitchens and pantries
-
Bathrooms and powder rooms
-
Mudrooms and laundry rooms
-
Lofts, nurseries, reading nooks, and bonus spaces
-
Living areas, bedrooms, and entryways
â
Whether you're refreshing a single space or working through an entire home, I can tailor the service to your needs.
Do you offer cabinetry drawings or construction documents?
Yes, I offer cabinetry drawings for design and planning purposes only. These are not construction documents.
It is your responsibility to:
-
Work with your contractor or cabinet maker to create final shop drawings
-
Field-verify all measurements and conditions prior to fabrication or installation
â
Renderings and drawings should never be used for final ordering or construction without professional verification.
How do we communicate during the project?
All clients receive access to a personalized client portal (via HoneyBook) after booking. This is where we’ll handle all communication, file sharing, approvals, and project updates.
Can you match specific paints, finishes, or materials?
Yes, I can match paint colors when provided with the manufacturer and color name (e.g., Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams).
For materials, lighting, furniture, and appliances, I do my best to match your inspiration closely. However, exact matches are not always possible, and materials in renderings are considered visual approximations.
What’s your revision policy??
Most services include one round of revisions. Any additional revisions beyond what’s outlined in your package or proposal will be billed at my standard hourly rate. Revisions are meant to refine the concept—not start from scratch—so sharing clear preferences upfront helps streamline the process.
